In 2024, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection opened 16 new foreign markets for the export of Ukrainian products. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"We are currently working with more than 60 countries around the world to allow Ukrainian producers to export their plant and animal products," emphasized Serhii Tkachuk, head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
In 2024, Ukrainian producers gained access to foreign markets for 16 product groups in 9 countries:
- Poultry meal/feathers/fish meal to the State of Israel.
- Oils and fats for animal feed to the State of Israel.
- Honey to the People's Republic of China.
- Marine and freshwater animals (fish, mollusks, crustaceans, echinoderms, including those raised on farms) and products made from them to the State of Kuwait.
- Poultry meat and its products to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
- Mechanically separated poultry meat to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Egg products to Canada.
- Canned pet food to the Republic of Albania.
- Chewing items for pets to the Republic of Albania.
- Equines registered for breeding and utility purposes to the Republic of Moldova.
- Semi-finished poultry products to the Republic of Moldova.
- Composite products to the Republic of Moldova.
- Meat products intended for human consumption to Moldova.
- Veterinary health certificates accompanying reptiles to the State of Israel.
- Meat products intended for human consumption to the Republic of Albania.
- Meat products to the Republic of North Macedonia.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that work with international partners continues to expand sales for various product categories, including poultry products, live large and small cattle, beef and pork, milk and dairy products, honey, apples, blueberries, cherries, peas, beans, onions, wheat flour, fish and fish products, and reproductive material.
As of today, Ukraine has export access for agricultural products to 360 trade directions. Over the next five years, efforts are planned to enhance work on opening new markets and increasing the country's export potential.
