Applications are now open for Ukrainian farmers to participate in the government program for demining agricultural land. The 2025 state budget has allocated 1 billion UAH for this purpose.
Applications can be submitted through the State Agrarian Register, according to the Ministry of Economy.
The first application came from a farm in Bereznehuvate, Mykolaiv region - a territory heavily shelled by Russian forces. The farm seeks to clear 15 plots totaling 90.8 hectares.
Between January and April 2024, the Humanitarian Demining Center processed applications from 195 farmers. Agreements have been signed with 47 applicants for more than 9,500 hectares, with nearly 500 hectares already cleared.
