As of October 7, 2025, Ukrainian agrarians have sown more than 3.5 million hectares of winter crops, which is almost 50% of the projected sown areas. This is reported by Dengi.ua with reference to data Ministry of Economy.

It is noted that winter crops are sown in all regions of Ukraine, and a total of 3,557 thousand hectares of winter crops have already been sown.

It is reported that, in particular, sown:

  • winter wheat - 2,346.8 thousand hectares;
  • winter barley - 179.2 thousand hectares;
  • winter rye - 45.7 thousand hectares.

Kirovograd, Mykolayiv and Poltava regions are among the leaders in sowing grain crops.

In addition, winter rape is sown on the area of 985.3 thousand hectares. Most of all in Vinnitsa, Khmelnytskyi and Mykolaiv regions. In addition, at present, the agrarians of 13 regions have completed sowing of winter rape.
