One of the enterprises of the Joint Stock Company "Ukrainian Defense Industry" has signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with KNDS Belgium SA. About it reported press-service of Ukroboronprom, write Dengi.ua .
The document states the intention of the parties to organize a joint completion of medium caliber rounds. Such ammunition is used for firing from automatic cannons and is designed to hit enemy personnel, light armored vehicles, as well as low-flying aerial targets.
KNDS Belgium is a well-known international developer and manufacturer of various types of ammunition. The company supplies its products to NATO, the Belgian Army and several other nations.
"We are gradually expanding the geography of our international partnerships, looking for new areas of cooperation. This benefits the Defense Forces of Ukraine and our defense-industrial complex, which seeks to integrate into the global arms industry of NATO countries", - commented the Director General of Ukroboronprom Oleg Gulyak.
