The Ministry of Digital Transformation has started creating the AI Factory (Sovereign Artificial Intelligence Factory), a project that will create the first state infrastructure for launching and scaling AI products in Ukraine. "So the data of the state and citizens from AI-services will remain in Ukraine under the protection of sovereign data centers. And AI-products for Ukrainians, the Defense Force and the public sector will become even faster," - stated in the message.
According to the ministry, key government AI services created by WINWIN AI Center of Excellence for Mincifra will work on the AI Factory infrastructure. First and foremost is the AI assistant in Diy. It will also be used for the AI Tutor in "Mriya" and later for projects in defense, medicine, and research.
What AI Factory includes:
- technical equipment for running AI services: computing clusters, servers, data storage;
- software for model training and data preparation;
- tools for working with data and integrating services with registries;
- training programs for specialists working with AI solutions.
"The launch of AI Factory is a step towards Ukraine's technological sovereignty and digital security. This is the beginning of the development of its own independent AI ecosystem, where solutions are created in Ukraine for Ukrainians," - added in the press service.
