The Kramatorsk Heavy Machine-Tool Plant (KZTS), which manufactures Ukrainian artillery systems, has disclosed the current cost of the self-propelled and towed versions of the 155mm "Bohdana" howitzer. A company representative discussed this in an interview with Oboronka, as reported by Dengi.uaAll news.
According to him, the self-propelled version costs 2.5 million euros, while the towed variant costs 1.6 million euros.
“The self-propelled version costs 2.5 million euros, and the towed version costs 1.6 million euros,” said a KZTS representative.
Over the entire production period, the company has already manufactured more than 1,000 artillery systems. According to the plant’s representative, the "Bohdana" currently accounts for a significant share of Ukraine’s artillery.
“More than 1,000 units. Currently, that’s 70% of Ukraine’s artillery,” noted the plant’s representative.
Since the start of the full-scale war, the "Bohdana" howitzer has been modernized repeatedly. A KZTS representative noted that, compared to the 2022 version, the system has already undergone changes across four to five generations.
Among the key updates, he cited the introduction of a fire control system, the availability of more chassis variants, and increased automation.
“A fire control system has been added, and there are more chassis variants. It has become more automated,” he said.
