Allegro, a major Polish marketplace, has begun testing a sales program in Ukraine. As part of the pilot project, Ukrainian shoppers will have access to over one million listings from sellers in Poland. The service’s potential audience in the Ukrainian market is estimated at approximately 12 million shoppers. This was reported by Dengi.ua , citing a publication WProst.

The project’s launch was made possible through a partnership with the Ukrainian logistics operator Nova Post and the integration of order processing and customs clearance systems. Allegro aims to simplify procedures that previously made it significantly more difficult for companies to enter markets outside the European Union’s customs territory.

In the initial phase, several hundred Polish sellers, selected to participate in testing, joined the program. They offer Ukrainian customers over a million products available for order on the allegro.pl website and through the app, which features a Ukrainian-language interface.

The product range is largely tailored to the needs of Ukrainians during the winter months. Specifically, shoppers can find generators, power stations, tools, gas stoves, and hygiene products.

A partnership with Nova Post, which provides the logistics infrastructure in Ukraine, plays a key role in the project’s implementation. Combined with a simplified customs clearance procedure that does not require in-person contact, this should ensure fast delivery of orders to customers.

The main goal of the initiative is to integrate offerings from Polish retailers with the local delivery system. Allegro is currently testing the new mechanism and assessing Ukrainian consumers’ interest in shopping on the platform.

In the future, the company intends to make this option available to all Polish sellers operating on the marketplace. However, the exact dates for the completion of the pilot phase and the full launch of the service in Ukraine have not yet been announced.
