In August 2025, the average salary in Ukraine reached 25 thousand UAH per month. The analysis is based on the data of almost 200 thousand vacancies published by employers. For comparison, a year ago this figure was about 20 thousand UAH, which means a growth of 19% in twelve months. This is reported by Dengi.ua with reference to data job search portal Work.ua.

Professions with the greatest growth

A significant increase in income was recorded in a number of areas, where salaries increased by 50-80%. The leader was DevOps engineer: from 47 thousand UAH in August 2024, the payment increased to 87.5 thousand UAH this year (+85%). At the same time, a month earlier the average amount was even higher - 92.5 thousand UAH.

Among other professions with the most noticeable annual growth:

  • investment analyst - +67%;
  • labeling engineer - +65%;
  • software engineer - +56%;
  • store chain manager - +55%;
  • cartridge refiller - +54%;
  • contract department specialist - +53%;
  • automation engineer - +51%;
  • Python developer - +50%.

Industries with falling incomes

Not all professions showed positive dynamics. For example, PHP-programmers on average receive 41 thousand UAH, which is 23% less than last year's level (53.5 thousand UAH). The income of social workers decreased by 14% - from 18 thousand to 15.5 thousand UAH, and the salary of urologists decreased by 11% - from 30 thousand to 26.7 thousand UAH.

Regional statistics

In some cities the growth was higher than the average Ukrainian level. The largest increase in salaries was recorded in Sumy (+27%), where the average income is now 19 thousand UAH against 15 thousand UAH a year ago. Lutsk (+26%), Dnipro (+25%), Khmelnytskyi (+24%) and Odesa (+23%) are also in the top five.

In Kyiv salaries increased by 20%, but the capital retains the leadership in terms of wages - about 30 thousand UAH per month.

At the same time, the minimum increase for the year is observed in Kherson, Zhytomyr and Zaporizhzhya (14% each), as well as in Ivano-Frankivsk, Cherkasy and Kryvyi Rih (16% each).
