The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has announced the start of joint production of weapons in cooperation with a number of international partners. This was reported by press service of the ministry, as Dengi.ua .
On the initiative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine a package of bills has been developed to introduce a special legal regime, which will allow enterprises of the Ukrainian defense-industrial complex to get additional resources and opportunities for scaling and development of production.
This is primarily about the creation of new plants and production sites both in Ukraine and abroad: in the countries participating in the Ramstein Defense Contact Group.
"We have invaluable experience in modern warfare, our own effective weapons and military equipment, the ability to test all this directly on the battlefield. Therefore, we launch a program of joint production of weapons with international partners in Ukraine and the countries participating in "Ramstein", - commented the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
According to him, this is a new type of military-industrial cooperation, where Ukraine is an equal partner and player in the global defense market. All weapons produced at these facilities will be supplied to the Ukrainian Defense Forces until the end of the war.
It is noted that the Ministry of Defense together with the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy presented the key provisions of the four draft laws to the domestic defense industry enterprises. They concern changes in tax, customs, budget legislation and the Criminal Code and are aimed at the development of the industry and increasing the level of production safety.
