On Monday, July 7, DOT-Chain Defense - a new digital system that speeds up and simplifies the delivery of weapons to the Ukrainian army - started operating. Defense Minister Rustem Umerov told about it, according to Dengi.ua .
According to him, it is a kind of marketplace of weapons, created for the operational support of the front.
The pilot launch will involve 10 brigades of the AFU, for which the Defense Ministry has allocated 1 billion hryvnias to the Defense Procurement Agency. With these funds, brigades will be able to order FPV drones through the IT system of the State Home Front Operator, and soon other types of UAVs, REB means, robotic complexes.
"Each military unit will be able to choose exactly what it needs to fulfill its tasks. At the same time, the Defense Procurement Agency will provide financing and delivery without unnecessary bureaucracy. Now deliveries will take place not in months, but in a few weeks," the minister wrote.
Umerov noted that DOT-Chain Defense is a transparent, competitive and fully digitalized system. It was developed based on the model of supplying food for the army, which has already proven its effectiveness.
How the system works:
- The military independently selects, orders and books the required supplies, sees delivery dates, leaves feedback and receives quick responses.
- Manufacturers receive a clear mechanism of cooperation with the state and the army, as well as direct feedback from the military.
- The state sees the real needs of the front, makes decisions based on data, supports the development of the defense industry and the introduction of innovations..
