In July 2025, the number of non-banking financial market participants decreased from 812 (as of July 1, 2025) to 799 (as of August 1, 2025). The number of banks remained unchanged - 60. This was reported by the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine, write Dengi.ua .
During July, nine financial companies, one risk insurer and three credit unions were forcibly excluded from the registers.
As of August 1, 2025 on the market of non-banking financial services operated:
- 423 financial companies (there were 432);
- 51 non-life insurers (was 52), 10 life insurers (no change), one special status insurer;
- 105 pawnshops (no change);
- 90 credit unions (was 93);
- one lessor (no change);
- 44 insurance brokers (no change);
- 74 collection companies (no change).
The number of banking groups increased by one (16). The number of non-banking financial groups in July remained unchanged (40).
In the payment market there are 15 payment systems created by residents, including state payment systems (the number remained unchanged) and 10 international payment systems (there were 12).
At the same time, 17 payment institutions (there were 18), 12 financial institutions authorized to provide payment services (the number remained unchanged), one bank-issuer of electronic money (the number remained unchanged) and one postal operator (unchanged) operate in the market of financial payment service providers.
Other entities operating in the payment market include 48 commercial agents (number unchanged) and 31 technological operators of payment services (number unchanged).
