While Ukraine spends approximately $450 million every day to wage its defensive war, the highest price remains the lives and blood of the Ukrainian military. This was reported by Novyny.LIVE and Dengi.ua.

The Daily Financial Burden

Assessing the scale of the challenges facing the country, Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha revealed the financial dimension of the confrontation. Maintaining the frontline and conducting daily defensive operations consumes approximately $450 million of Ukraine's resources.

However, these colossal sums represent only the material aspect. The minister emphasized that the state pays a much steeper price:

"Consequently, the biggest challenge for us is that we are paying the highest price: the blood of Ukrainian soldiers. We want to end this war," Sybiha stated.

Why US Involvement is Vital

According to the minister, 2026 could be a defining year for ending the war. However, he noted that real steps toward a cessation of hostilities are impossible without the direct influence of U.S. partners. Sybiha is convinced that the only effective mechanism for ending the conflict is the continuous intensification of pressure on the Kremlin through various geopolitical tools.

"I don't believe - it is simply unrealistic - that we can make real progress in our peace efforts without the American side. It is not possible. We need their participation, but in parallel, we need their influence and pressure on Russia," the Foreign Minister emphasized.
