For 5 months of 2025 local budgets of Ukraine received UAH 17.5 billion of land fees. Taxpayers allocated 14.8% or 2.3 billion UAH more for the development of their communities than in the corresponding period of last year. In 2024, revenues amounted to almost 15.2 billion UAH. Leaders of tax payment:
- Dnipropetrovsk region - UAH 3.1 billion
- Kyiv - UAH 2.6 billion
- Odesa region - UAH 1.6 billion
- Lviv region - UAH 1.2 billion
The State Tax Service reminded that the land fee is a mandatory payment within the property tax. It includes land tax or rent for land plots of state and communal property.
According to the norms of the Tax Code of Ukraine, land owners and land users pay for land from the date of state registration of the right of ownership or the right to use a land plot. In case of termination of such rights, the land fee is paid for the actual period of land ownership or use in the current year.
