In 2024, Ukraine reached its pre-war level of agricultural exports—$24.5 billion—which accounted for 59% of total exports. This was the second-highest figure in history (in 2021, the corresponding figure was $27.7 billion). In total, Ukraine exported 78.3 million tons of agricultural products last year. 

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, citing Minister Vitalii Koval. 

The largest shares were: 

  • Sunflower oil – 21%. Almost 6 million tons exported worth $5.1 billion. 
  • Corn – 21%. 29.6 million tons exported worth $5 billion. 
  • Wheat – 15%. 20.6 million tons exported worth $3.7 billion. 

Among the other leaders were: 

  • Rapeseed – 7% (3.8 million tons worth $1.8 billion). 
  • Soy - 5% (3.4 million tons worth $1.3 billion). 
  • Oilcake and residues from oil extraction - 4% (4.7 million tons worth $1 billion). 

Additionally, the share of meat and poultry products was 4%. These products were exported in the amount of 447,000 tons worth $958 million. Also noteworthy were barley (3.3 million tons worth $557 million) and sugar (746,000 tons worth $418 million) - each at 2%.
