In June 2025, Ukrainians came in second place among foreign citizens in the number of purchased real estate in Turkey. About it reports open4business with reference to the data of the Statistical Institute of Turkey (TÜİK), report Dengi.ua .

It is noted that, according to the statistics, for a month, the citizens of Ukraine made the purchase of 111 real estate, giving precedence to the Russians, who traditionally lead in the Turkish housing market. In June, Russians purchased 326 objects.

It is reported that the third position on the volume of transactions took Iranians who bought 109 objects. Next are citizens of Iraq (97 transactions), Germany (95), Azerbaijan (71), Kazakhstan (66), China (54), USA (41) and Palestine (40).

According to experts, the growing interest of Ukrainians in real estate in Turkey is due to a number of reasons:

  • visa-free regime between the countries;
  • relatively affordable cost of housing in cities such as Antalya, Alanya and Mersin, compared to European destinations;
  • the possibility to consider such real estate as a tool for capital saving or as an emergency option for living in war conditions.

At the same time, although overall purchase volumes by Russians have declined from the record highs of 2022-2023, they again remained the largest foreign buyers of Turkish real estate in June 2025. This reflects the ongoing trend of relocation, including moves for temporary or permanent residence amid Russia's international isolation.

"Given the current geopolitical conditions and the attractiveness of the Turkish market, Ukraine may maintain its high position in the ranking of foreign real estate buyers in Turkey in the coming months. In addition, in June, Turkey recorded an influx of buyers from Ukraine due to the active tourist season and investors who want rental income in currency," - summarizes the publication.
