In the period from January to April 2025, the volume of cheese imports to Ukraine increased to 13.4 thousand tons, which is 16.5% higher than in the same period last year. This is reported by AgroTimes , citing data from the State Customs Service.
At the same time, $82.5 million was spent on the purchase of imported cheese, which is 19.4% more than in the first four months of 2024.
The main suppliers of cheese to Ukraine remain Poland (43.7% of total imports), Germany (10.7%) and the Netherlands (8.9%).
At the same time, exports of Ukrainian cheese products also showed growth. In the first four months of 2025, 4.4 thousand tons of cheese were exported - this is 22.2% more than in the same period of the previous year.
In monetary terms, exports amounted to $20.6 million, which is 31.2% more than last year's figure for the same period.
The largest buyers of Ukrainian cheese were Moldova (34.8% of total exports), Kazakhstan (33.3%) and Germany (8.1%).
