Ukraine has harvested more than 10 million tons of grain and legumes

As of July 24, Ukrainian farmers threshed 10.34 million tons of grain and legumes of the new harvest. As of the reporting date, the harvest has been threshed from almost one third of the area - 3.2 million hectares. The average yield in Ukraine is 3.2 tons per hectare. In particular, already harvested:

  • wheat - from 2.17 million hectares (44% of the forecast), 7 million tons have been threshed with an average yield of 3.25 tons/ha;
  • barley - from 838.7 thousand hectares (61%), 2.7 million tons milled, average yield 3.33 t/ha;
  • peas - from 190.9 thousand hectares (78%), 412.4 thousand tons were threshed, yield 2.16 t/ha.

The largest grain harvest was gathered by farmers of Odessa region (2.5 million tons), Kirovograd region (1.5 million tons), Mykolaiv region (1.3 million tons), Dnipro region (1.2 million tons) and Poltava region (1.1 million tons).

It is noted that wheat is threshed in all regions, the yield is quite different. The lowest is in Kherson region - 1.1 tons per hectare, the highest - in Vinnitsa region - 7 tons per hectare.

Rapeseed is harvested in all regions. 535 thousand hectares (42%) have been threshed, 1 million tons of seeds have been harvested with an average yield of 1.94 t/ha.
