In September 2025, Ukraine recorded record exports of rapeseed oil - almost 109 thousand tons of products were shipped abroad during the month. This volume is 4.5 times higher than the results of August. At the same time, 92 thousand tons, or about 85% of all exports, were sent to the countries of the European Union. This is reported by Dengi.ua with reference on AgroReview.

Economist Viktor Galasyuk told the publication that the September figures were the highest in the history of rapeseed oil supplies from Ukraine to the EU.

He recalled that back in the summer of 2025, Kenya held the leading position in the European market, while Ukrainian companies mainly exported unprocessed rapeseed.

According to the expert, the key factor in the growth of exports of processed products was the introduction of a 10-percent duty on the export of unprocessed rapeseed. This measure actually turned into a tax on export of raw materials, which prompted producers to sell seeds more actively inside the country, to load the capacity of Ukrainian processing plants and to increase the volume of domestic processing.
