From January through September 2026, Ukraine exported 1.85 billion eggs worth a total of $179.9 million. Compared to the same period last year, the physical volume of shipments increased by 19%, while foreign exchange revenue rose by 30.7%. European countries remain the main export markets, according to Dengi.ua, citing data from the Union of Poultry Farmers of Ukraine.
How Ukrainian Egg Exports Have Changed
Over the first nine months of 2026, Ukrainian producers increased both the volume of egg exports and revenue from overseas sales.
The total value of shipments reached $179.9 million, and the number of eggs exported totaled 1.85 billion. At the same time, revenue grew faster than the physical volume of exports: by 30.7% versus 19%, respectively.
How Many Eggs Did Ukraine Export in September?
In September, Ukrainian producers shipped 208.4 million eggs worth $15.9 million to foreign markets.
Compared to August, the volume of exports in physical terms decreased by 2%. However, compared to September 2025, shipments increased by 20%.
At the same time, financial results showed a different trend. Export revenue in September remained at the previous month’s level but was 13.4% lower than during the same period last year.
Thus, despite the year-over-year growth in physical shipment volumes, export revenue trends in September were negative.
Which Countries Buy the Most Ukrainian Eggs
Spain was the largest importer of Ukrainian eggs in January–September 2026, accounting for 25.2% of total exports.
Other major buyers included:
- Spain — 25.2%;
- the United Kingdom — 12.4%;
- Poland — 8.8%;
- the Czech Republic — 7.9%.
Overall, European Union countries accounted for 76.5% of Ukraine’s egg exports over the nine-month period.
Thus, the European market remains a key destination for Ukrainian producers. From January through September 2026, egg exports showed growth both in volume and in total value of shipments, although revenue in September was lower than last year’s level.
