Ukraine has already restored more than 50 percent of generating capacities that were damaged as a result of Russian attacks. This was reported by Deputy Energy Minister Mykola Kolesnik, Dengi.ua .
He assured that currently the energy system is stable and balanced, and the risks of applying the schedule of power cuts can be caused exclusively by new massive shelling of energy facilities by the Russian Federation.
Kolesnik said that the repair campaign to restore generating capacities continues on a daily basis and takes place in accordance with the approved schedules.
"As a result of the Russian attacks, thermal and hydro generation suffered the greatest losses. More than 50% of the damaged generation has already been restored thanks to the work of power engineers and coordination by the government, as well as the assistance of our international partners," the deputy minister said.
He also informed about preparations for the next heating season, emphasizing that the volume of gas injection into storage facilities is gradually increasing.
"The rate of gas injection into underground storage facilities corresponds to the schedule and is one and a half times higher than last year. We are confident that we will be able to form the necessary reserves before the start of the heating season," Kolesnik said.
According to him, Ukraine will also have the necessary reserves of coal and nuclear fuel for the successful and stable passage of the next heating season 2025-2026.
