Since 2024, more than 2 thousand hectares of land have been returned to agrarians under the state program of compensation for demining of agricultural land. About it writes the press service of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, reports Dengi.ua .
Only in May 2025 mine action operators cleared six sites with a total area of 626.7 hectares from explosive objects. - Three in Mykolayiv region, two in Kharkiv region and one in Kyiv region. The total amount of compensation for the work amounted to almost UAH 35 million.
In total, since the start of the program in 2024, 19 contracts have been concluded and executed, thanks to which it was possible to clear 2,025 hectares of agricultural land. In particular, the most land was returned to farmers in Kyiv region - 1224 hectares, followed by Mykolaiv region - 501 hectares, Kharkiv region - 279 hectares and Kherson region - 21 hectares. For the work done the Center for humanitarian demining transferred more than 107 million UAH to mine action operators.
