French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu has announced the launch of a joint project to produce drones in Ukraine. According to him, within the framework of this endeavor, one of the major automotive companies in France will unite with a small or medium-sized enterprise working in the defense sector.

It is noted that in Ukraine will be created production facilities for the manufacture of drones. At the same time, Lecornu characterized this cooperation as "mutually beneficial" and aimed at supporting Kiev.
"We are launching a brand new partnership in which a major French automotive company will join forces with a French defense small or medium-sized enterprise to set up production lines in Ukraine to make drones," Sebastien Lecornu said.
Although the specific models of the drones were not named, the minister specified that they will be supplied to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, it is planned to use these drones by the French army to improve the level of tactical and operational training, taking into account the experience of combat operations in Ukraine. He also added that the Ukrainian side would share feedback on the use of the drones in real conditions.
The minister emphasized that the participation of French workers in the production on the territory of Ukraine would not be required. According to him, Ukrainian specialists have a higher level of expertise in the development of drones and especially in the formation of tactics of their use.
