An elevator for 30 thousand tons of grain and a dry port will be built in Lviv region

A memorandum on the beginning of cooperation on the construction of facilities was signed by Lviv OSA, Lviv Regional Council, Belz City Council and AgHoldCo.

An elevator, which will be able to simultaneously store up to 30 thousand tons of grain, as well as a dry port will be built in Lviv region. Today Lviv Regional State Administration, Lviv Regional Council, Belz City Council and AgHoldCo signed a memorandum on the beginning of cooperation.

This was announced by the head of Lviv Regional State Administration Maksym Kozitsky, write Dengi.ua .

"This is the beginning of a large-scale project involving hundreds of grain storage facilities across Ukraine, a network of dry ports, modern logistics hubs, deep processing plants, bioclusters, new export opportunities and technological renewal of the agricultural sector. We start from Lviv region," the statement reads.

According to Kozitsky, the construction of elevator and dry port in Lviv region will give work to people, help to reduce the cost of grain delivery and strengthen the food security of the region. In addition, it will be easier for small and medium-sized farms to store grain.

He added that the project will be financed by AgHoldCo, Inc. with the support of UAF Partners investment fund.
