For 9 months of work of the state program of preferential lending to manufacturers of the defense-industrial complex (DIC), 50 companies have already received loans totaling 2.7 billion hryvnias. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense, according to Dengi.ua .

Currently, another 23 applications from defense companies for the amount of more than 2.5 billion hryvnias are agreed before issuance. Also 57 applications are at different stages of consideration.

"Predominantly manufacturers of UAVs and components for them apply for preferential loans. Thanks to loans, our armorers can produce more weapons and deliver them to the front faster," said Deputy Defense Minister Anna Gvozdyar.

Private sector manufacturers who lack working capital to improve and scale up production facilities can receive:

  • up to UAH 100 million for working capital - for up to 3 years;
  • up to UAH 500 million for investment projects - for up to 5 years.

The interest rate for defense industry enterprises is 5%, the rest is compensated by the state.

Credit funds can be used to expand operations, purchase new equipment and components, support working capital for the development of new weapons and military equipment and their launch into mass production.

To obtain an affordable loan, a manufacturer needs to apply to a bank participating in the program. Currently there are five banks: Ukreximbank, Oschadbank, MTB Bank, FUIB and Bank Credit Dnipro.
