Europe's Largest Missile Manufacturer and the Luch Design Bureau to develop "Neptune-2"

The European defense giant MBDA has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ukrainian design bureau Luch, marking a significant step forward in precision-guided weapons cooperation and support for Ukraine's defense capabilities. This was reported by Dengi.ua , citing a press release from the company.

Under the agreements, the parties will focus on further upgrading the Neptune cruise missile. Luch and MBDA intend to co-develop an improved version, the Neptune-2, capable of striking long-range targets by implementing new technological solutions. In addition, the agreement provides for the deepening of the strategic defense partnership between Ukraine and the European arms manufacturer.

MBDA emphasized that the company is one of Europe’s leading developers of sophisticated weapons systems. It possesses cutting-edge technologies, extensive experience, and a broad network of international partnerships, enabling it to supply its partners with state-of-the-art long-range weapons systems developed in Europe.

For its part, the Luch Design Bureau has many years of experience in the design, development, integration, and production of high-tech missile systems and other sophisticated weapon systems.
