Following a desk audit by the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA), UAH 11.5 million was recovered from Rinat Akhmetov's company "Naftogazenerhiya" for misused labor costs.
ARMA found that part of the administrative staff wages were unjustifiably included in the management contract for seized assets of a Belarusian oil company. This led to underpayments to the state budget. A binding order was issued and fulfilled.
“The state treasury was replenished thanks to effective oversight. The manager admitted the violation and complied. We are working to ensure transparency and efficient asset management,” said ARMA’s Asset Management Director Ihor Chuloi.
ARMA had previously appointed "Naftogazenerhiya" (a DTEK company) as manager of seized assets from "Belorusneft." The company declared and paid UAH 7.569 million to the state — double the previous year’s figure.
