The Ukrainian defense industry is capable of producing up to 10 million drones a year. This was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov at a meeting with representatives of the German defense industry, Dengi.ua .
The minister said that Ukraine is actively developing industrial projects in the defense sector both domestically and together with international partners abroad.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian side presented key initiatives in the defense industry. In particular, they talked about a project to attract investments in production in Ukraine.
According to Umerov, the Ukrainian industry is already capable of producing up to 10 million drones per year, and with proper financing it can produce even more modern means of defeat.
In addition, the head of the Defense Ministry informed about the initiative to produce weapons in cooperation with partners in the "Ramstein" format. It is about combining Ukrainian technologies with the production capacities of partners to scale the production of everything necessary for the Defense Forces.
"Our goal is to establish effective cooperation. The state is ready to assist companies in finding partners in Ukraine and directly participate in joint projects, in particular through co-investments and establishment of joint ventures," the minister emphasized.
He outlined the areas in which Ukraine needs support:
- drones and long-range weapons;
- electronic warfare and communication systems;
- air defense;
- armored vehicles;
- software.
