In January-June 2025, the total amount of cash expenditures of the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine amounts to UAH 1.9 trillion, which is UAH 331.5 billion or 21.5% more compared to the same period of 2024. Including in June, UAH 337.4 billion was spent. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance, write Dengi.ua .
Expenditures of the general fund of the state budget for security and defense in January-June 2025 amounted to UAH 1.2 trillion or 62.5% of all expenditures of the general fund. Including in June, 187.6 billion UAH were spent.
In the structure of expenditures by economic classification the most directed:
- 734.5 billion UAH - for labor remuneration with accruals (including in June - 127.2 billion UAH) or 39.2% of total expenditures spent in January-June 2025 (against the same period last year increased by 134.3 billion UAH or 22.4%);
- 256.6 billion UAH - to pay for the use of goods and services (in June - 43.3 billion UAH) or 13.7% of total expenditures. The funds were directed, in particular, to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations and law enforcement agencies;
- 313.5 billion UAH - for social security (payment of pensions, allowances, scholarships) (in June - UAH 47.2 billion) or 16.7% of total expenditures, which is UAH 31.5 billion or 11.2% more compared to the same period last year.
At the same time, the Ministry of Social Policy allocated UAH 191.5 billion for social payments:
- 239 billion UAH - for subsidies and current transfers to enterprises (institutions, organizations) (in June - UAH 34.3 billion) or 12.7% of total expenditures;
- 179.8 billion UAH - for servicing the state debt (in June - UAH 43.2 billion) or 9.6% of the total volume (against the same period last year increased by UAH 47.1 billion or 35.5%);
- 102.1 billion UAH - for transfers to local budgets (in June - 29 billion UAH) or 5.4% of the total volume (against the same period last year increased by 9.8 billion UAH or by 10.6%).
