The National Bank has included in its basic macroeconomic scenario, developed taking into account the possible aggravation of the military situation and strikes on the rear regions, the forecast of receipt of external financial assistance in the amount of about 65 billion dollars in 2026-2027. About it said deputy head of the NBU Serhiy Mykolaychuk on the air of the Center for economic strategy, reported Dengi.ua .

According to him, as of today only 23.3 billion dollars of the specified amount has been officially confirmed, while the remaining 41.7 billion remain potential and are not provided with specific sources of funding. Mykolaichuk noted that such estimates generally correspond to government expectations, which, given the current security risks, are estimated at up to 75 billion dollars of international assistance in the period in question.

At the same time for 2025, the National Bank forecasts the receipt of $54 billion from external partners. In 2026, it is expected to receive almost 35 billion, but of this amount only about 22.3 billion are confirmed, and 12.7 billion are in doubt. In 2027, the regulator expects to attract $30 billion, but so far only $1 billion is confirmed, which should come under the EFF program.

Sergei Nikolaychuk emphasized that ensuring the necessary level of international financing is one of the key tasks of economic policy. He noted that a stable inflow of external support is crucial for the recovery of the economy, which continues to be under pressure from the war, as well as climate change, which affects the agricultural sector.
