The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) in cooperation with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) conducted a large-scale operation to expose corruption in the energy sector and documented the activities of a high-level criminal organization. It is noted that the participants of the criminal group built a large-scale corrupt scheme of influence on strategic enterprises of the public sector, in particular, JSC "NAEK Energoatom". Detectives were preparing for the searches for 15 months and made 1000 hours of audio recordings of the defendants.
In addition, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak told in his TG-channel that the NABU and the SAP also came to search former Energy Minister and now Justice Minister Herman Galushchenko and co-owner of the studio "95 quarter" Timur Mindich.
