Slovenia increased its support by 46.2% - from 0.13 to 0.19 billion euros - while Ireland’s aid rose by 42.2%, from 0.45 to 0.64 billion euros. The European Union and the United Kingdom Increased Their Funding
Aid to Ukraine from EU institutions - the European Commission and the European Council - rose by 18.7% over the first eight months of 2026. The total amount increased from 84.05 to 99.77 billion euros.
In October, Ukraine received two new tranches from European institutions. On October 7, the European Union allocated 1.2 billion euros in financial assistance as part of the Ukraine Support Loan. These funds are intended to cover the country’s priority defense needs. Earlier, on October 2, the EU transferred nearly 3 billion euros as part of the Ukraine Facility program.
The United Kingdom has also increased its support for Ukraine: since the beginning of the year, it has grown by 18%.
Which Countries Have Increased Aid at a Moderate Pace
For a number of European countries, the increase in aid volumes was less significant. Over the first eight months of 2026, Latvia increased its support by 14.1%, Luxembourg by 11.8%, and Finland by 10.5%.
In Lithuania, the increase was 8.8%, and in Denmark, 7.2%. Poland increased its aid to Ukraine by 5.7%. Croatia recorded a similar figure.
France increased its support by 4.6%, Slovakia by 4.2%, and Belgium by 3.8%.
U.S. Aid Remained Virtually Unchanged
The total amount of U.S. aid to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion was estimated at 115.33 billion euros as of the end of 2025. During the first eight months of 2026, this figure remained virtually unchanged, reaching 115.38 billion euros. The increase amounted to just 0.04%.
This trend is due to the fact that the U.S. has not resumed direct arms deliveries to Ukraine. At the same time, allies continue to procure U.S. weapons needed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces through the PURL initiative.
Aid from Estonia and the Czech Republic increased by less than 2% during the period under review.
For Some Countries, The Figures Remained Unchanged
According to available data, the volume of aid from Romania, Portugal, Australia, Greece, Iceland, Turkey, New Zealand, Hungary, Cyprus, and Malta remained unchanged compared to December 2025.
At the same time, the data for South Korea was likely revised due to an adjustment in allocations.
