on October 1, the Paris Court of Appeal will hold a hearing in the extradition case against Kostyantyn Zhevago, which was initiated by the Ukrainian government. This is mentioned in the explanation of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (SACS) regarding the refusal to conduct a special pre-trial investigation against the businessman, Dengi.ua with link on Liga.net.

"...the investigating judge considered that until the final decision on the extradition of the suspect, the filing of a petition for a special pre-trial investigation against him is premature," the document reads.

The decision to disagree with the motion of the detective of the National anti-corruption Bureau can be appealed to the Appellate Chamber of the SACS within five days from the date of its announcement.

Earlier Ukraine has already made attempts to extradite Zhevago in the case of embezzlement of 2.5 billion hryvnias associated with the Bank "Finance and Credit". The businessman was put on an international wanted list after he was handed a suspicion in 2019, and in 2022 detained by French law enforcers in the elite resort of Courchevel at the request of the State Bureau of Investigation .
