Gambling business in Ukraine has become an important source of revenue for the state budget.

In the period from January to April 2025, budget revenues from the gambling business amounted to UAH 6.3 billion. This is UAH 0.8 billion more than in the same four months of 2024, indicating an increase of 14.5%. The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Daniil Getmantsev informed about it.
Compared to January 2021, when only 37.7 million UAH were paid, the volume of tax revenues increased 167 times.
However, in April 2025, a noticeable decrease in revenues was recorded: the gaming business paid 700 million hryvnias to the budget, which is 400 million less compared to April 2024. Thus the drop amounted to 31.7%.
