Two industries accounted for more than a third of all tax revenues - STS

In the first half of 2025, more than a third of all taxes, fees and payments to the consolidated budget of Ukraine were provided by two sectors - processing industry and trade. This was reported by acting head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnaukh, reported Dengi.ua .

According to her data, the top-4 taxpayers by industry in January-June 2025 looks like this:

1. Processing industry - 16.9%.
2. Wholesale and retail trade - 16.5%.
3. Public administration and defense - 11.7%.
4. Financial and insurance activities - 11.5%.

"Processing industry and trade are not only leaders among industries in terms of tax payment. They also demonstrate and dynamic growth compared to 2024," noted Karnaukh.

The dynamics by industry looks like this:

• processing industry: +36.4% (+46.8 billion UAH),
• trade and transport repair: +30.6% (+40 billion UAH),
• public administration and defense: +30.3% (+28.2 billion UAH),
• energy (electricity, gas, etc.): +36.5% (+17.2 billion UAH).
