On May 30, 2025, international investment and development company D.GROUP, founded by Ukrainian entrepreneur Vadym Dashut, officially launched the construction of the WYNDHAM GARDEN BUCHAREST AIRPORT HOTEL. The occasion was marked by the signing of an investment agreement between the project partners – D.GROUP, Benish Group, and global hotel operator Wyndham Hotels & Resorts – and a ceremonial groundbreaking. About this write Dengi.ua.
“Today is a very important day for us – the agreement is signed, and construction is officially underway. The real estate market is evolving. It is no longer enough to simply own a building – it’s essential to be part of a greater system. For D.GROUP, Romania is more than a new direction. It is a dynamically developing country with strong investment potential and promising returns. Let’s grow together,” emphasized Anastasiia Dashut, Co-Founder of D.GROUP.
The hotel will be located just 150 meters from Bucharest’s main international airport, Henri Coandă. Its strategic placement is expected to ensure high occupancy rates and position the project as a key driver of growth in Romania’s hospitality market.
In addition, the hotel will be managed under the Wyndham brand – one of the most recognized names in the global hospitality industry. For investors, one of the project’s major advantages is the operational expertise Wyndham brings in managing financial assets and guest traffic.
“What we’ve seen in Romania over the past 2–3 years is impressive: there’s been a significant rise in infrastructure investment and growing interest from international investors. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has been active in Romania for over 20 years, and we are sincerely pleased to collaborate with D.GROUP on this new project in Bucharest,” noted Vassilis Themelidis, Regional Director, Southern and Eastern Europe, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
The project features an open investment model, one of its key strengths. Private investors can acquire individual rooms, which will generate stable passive income of up to 15% annually. Owners also benefit from up to 14 days of complimentary stay per year – making this asset not only profitable and accessible, but also practical.
“We’ve gathered here to find partners who will accompany us through the two-year construction process, join the project, and invest in it. That’s why we, together with D.GROUP, entered the Romanian market – and it’s a very meaningful step for us. I am confident this won’t be our last joint project in Romania,” stated Meni Benish, Founder of Benish Group.
With construction now underway, unit sales have also launched. The hotel is expected to open in summer 2027.
The participation of a Ukrainian company in the development of critical EU infrastructure demonstrates the international competitiveness of Ukraine’s real estate sector. For D.GROUP, this is more than an investment – it is a realization of a vision to transform the concept of commercial property and build a model of a managed infrastructure ecosystem with a direct impact on regional economics.
“I believe this is just the beginning. Ahead of us are many projects that will become iconic landmarks of Bucharest. We have ambitious plans for the Romanian market. In every initiative, we strive to create cross-cultural businesses and bring in partners to achieve even greater success,” said Vadym Dashut, Founder and CEO of D.GROUP.
