Naftohaz Group has signed the first agreement on the purchase of Azerbaijani gas with the company of SOCAR Group - SOCAR Energy Ukraine. This was reported by press service of Naftogaz, according to Dengi.ua .
According to the company, also for the first time test gas supply is carried out through the Trans-Balkan corridor along the route Bulgaria - Romania - Ukrainian border.
"This is a small in volume, but strategically important step that opens the way to long-term cooperation. And also another example of diversification of sources and strengthening energy security of Ukraine", - commented the Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz Ukrainy Sergiy Koretsky.
