Ukraine and the United States are in the final stages of preparing an agreement that could pave the way for exporting Ukrainian drones to the U.S. for military testing. This was reported by Dengi.ua , citing a Financial Times report.

The draft agreement provides for the temporary delivery of Ukrainian drones for testing in land, sea, and air operations. The document has already been approved by U.S. and Ukrainian defense officials, including U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Minister of Defense Mykhailo Fedorov, and Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Olha Stefanyshyna.

The text reportedly highlights a "common interest in the future joint production, development, or purchase of Ukrainian technologies that will benefit the U.S. military while expanding the reach of Ukraine's defense innovations."

According to sources, the draft stipulates that the Pentagon will request specific drone models and quantities exclusively for testing and evaluation. The objective of these trials is to identify promising solutions for possible future acquisition by the U.S. Army.

As the publication notes, in 2025, Pete Hegseth initiated the "Drone Dominance" program  - a $1 billion phased plan aimed at procuring small combat drones within two years to accelerate the development of the U.S. industrial base. This initiative is the primary framework through which the U.S. plans to identify and import Ukrainian drones.
