The Verkhovna Rada has registered draft law No. 13356, which provides for the inclusion of virtual assets in the gold and foreign exchange reserves of Ukraine. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, according to Dengi.ua .

"According to the bill, we give the National Bank the right to include virtual assets in the reserves of Ukraine. Moreover, how, when and how much, it should be the decision of the regulator itself. That is, we do not oblige and leave it to their professional choice," he wrote.

According to the authors of the bill, such a step will allow to involve Ukraine in global financial innovations. At the same time, proper management of crypto reserves will help strengthen macroeconomic stability and create new opportunities for the development of the digital economy.

The idea of creating crypto reserves is not unique: similar initiatives are already being implemented in the United States, China, El Salvador, Switzerland, Brazil, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and EU countries.
