The fourth Ukraine Recovery Conference will be held in Rome in July. It is expected to discuss Ukraine's recovery, including a possible new "Marshall Plan" for the country. This is said in an interview with Deputy Finance Minister Oleksandr Kava for Ukrinform, Dengi.ua .
"We are talking about the resumption, about the reconstruction of Ukraine. "Marshall Plan" is a conditional name, because it was a really successful project, which allowed after the Second World War to rebuild many countries on the European continent and create the basis for economic growth of the whole region. And we can confidently say that it was thanks to the Marshall Plan, the plan of post-war reconstruction of Europe, that it was possible to create such an institution as the European Union, which united the most powerful countries on the European continent," Kava said.
As for the participation of countries in the implementation of this plan for Ukraine, according to him, now there is no specific single program yet.
"So far there are negotiations with different countries about different projects. Therefore, there is no such single program now," the deputy minister replied.
Currently there are several initiatives: Ukraine Facility plan from the European Union, projects with some G7 countries, projects with a number of states involved in the recovery of the economy and social sector of Ukraine.
