In Poland In 2024, the total gross receipts from corporate income taxes (CIT) and personal income taxes (PIT) paid by foreigners exceeded PLN 4.88 billion. Of this amount, about 1.65 billion PLN (approximately 18.1 billion UAH - ed.) or more than a third came from Ukrainian citizens.

This is reported by Gremi Personal with reference to the response of the Polish Finance Ministry posted on the website of the Polish Sejm.

It is noted that the document indicates that the total receipts for taxes CIT and PIT from foreign citizens amounted to 4.884 billion zloty, of which 1.649 billion - from Ukrainians.

At the same time, in 2023, foreigners contributed to the treasury almost 3.609 billion zlotys on these types of taxes, including just over 1 billion zloty from Ukrainian citizens. And in 2022, similar receipts amounted to more than 4.1 billion zloty, of which more than 803 million zlotys - from Ukrainians.

It is also reported that the tax systems used by the tax administration do not allow to fully allocate budget revenues by citizenship of taxpayers. Therefore, the data provided are only indicative and may have a certain level of error.

In addition, the figures provided are approximate cash receipts - net of refunds - for CIT and PIT taxes for the respective year. These data are derived from the Ministry's information systems and cover both all foreign taxpayers and Ukrainian citizens separately.

Additionally, it was stated that the information does not include a part of tax revenues reallocated to the budgets of local governments.
