Ukraine's trade turnover reaches $48.2 billion: what Ukraine sell and buy

In January-May 2025, Ukraine imported $31.3 billion worth of goods and exported $16.9 billion worth of goods. Therefore, for 5 months the trade turnover amounted to $48.2 billion, as reported State Customs Service, according to Dengi.ua .

According to the State Customs Service, taxable imports amounted to $23.8 billion, which is 76% of the total volume of imported goods.

Most of all goods were imported to Ukraine from China - $6.5 billion, Poland - $2.9 billion, Germany - $2.6 billion. Exported from Ukraine most of all to Poland - $2 billion, Turkey - $1.4 billion, Italy - $1 billion.

In the total volumes of imported goods in January-May 2025, 68% were the following categories:

  • machinery, equipment and transportation - $11.9 billion;
  • chemical industry products - $5.2 billion;
  • fuel and energy - $4 billion.

The top three most exported goods from Ukraine included:

  • food products - $9.7 billion;
  • metals and metal products - $1.9 billion;
  • machinery, equipment and transportation - $1.5 billion.
