Most Ukrainian companies have taken care of their energy independence in advance. According to the October research of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine (CCI) "Business Barometer", 80% of surveyed entrepreneurs have provided their enterprises with power sources in case of power outages. It is noted that more than half of the companies (56%) use generators - this is 3% less than in November 2024. Another 19% have switched to alternative energy sources (an increase of 13%), and 5% have completely provided themselves with autonomous power supply (an increase of 2%). At the same time, 14% of respondents are in the process of purchasing equipment (down 3% from a year earlier), while only 7% intend to limit their electricity consumption - a figure that has halved in a year.
It is reported that the overall Business Barometer index for October 2025 fell to -8.8 points (2 points lower than the previous month), which continues to indicate the prevalence of pessimistic expectations among entrepreneurs.
At the same time, a slight increase in positive sentiment was noted only in the construction sector (2.5 points, down 0.5). In other sectors negative dynamics prevails: production (-10.8⇩-4.2), services (-1.5⇧+0.3) and trade (-16.3⇩-0.1).
Optimism persists only among representatives of large businesses (1.0⇧+1.0), while micro, small and medium enterprises show more pessimistic assessments: -9.0, -9.8 and -8.9 points, respectively. Exporters also remain less confident about the future, with a score of -11.5 (⇩-2.8).
