Ukraine's drinks market reaches 73 billion UAH: who is the revenue leader

Ukrainian manufacturers thanks to innovations, flexibility and efficient distribution system increased the industry volume by 17%.

The Ukrainian beverage market showed strong growth in 2024 on the back of bold experiments by manufacturers - from sweet carbonated drinks to beer with exotic flavors. Over the year, the segment increased by 17% and reached the volume of 73 billion UAH. It is noted that most of the key players showed positive dynamics, some - record figures. At the same time, Ukrainian manufacturers continue to demonstrate that even in war conditions growth is possible due to innovation, flexibility and effective distribution system.

According to the publication, the industry leaders in terms of revenue are:

  • Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine - UAH 16.3 billion (+16.8%)
  • Obolon - UAH 12.8 bln (+18.8%)
  • Carlsberg Ukraine - UAH 12 bln
  • IDS Ukraine (Morshynska brand) - UAH 6.8 bln (+28%)
  • Sandora (PepsiCo) - 26% increase
  • AB InBev Efes - UAH 5.5 bln (+16.9%)

At the same time, the only top company that showed a decrease was Persha Privatna Browarnia, whose sales fell by 1.5%, but it retained its sixth position in the overall ranking.

Outside the main ranking of beverage producers, the company producing strong alcohol stands out - here the leader was Global Spirits (including "Odessa Brandy Factory") with revenue of UAH 4.7 billion and an increase of 4.3%.

It is also reported about the factors that contributed to the growth of sales, namely:

  • Launch of new products such as Coca-Cola Cherry, Battery energy drinks, Zhivchik with valerian added, and white strawberry flavored beer.
  • Influence of inflation: according to Gosstat data, prices for soft drinks increased by 7.6% on average.
  • Development of the premium segment and innovations in packaging: producers rely on aluminum cans, expand their assortment and launch new brands.
  • Special attention - IDS Ukraine: the Company showed the highest growth among the leaders: +28%, reaching UAH 6.8 bln. The success is explained by the launch of new flavor lines of Morshynska and Volia. In summer, the company reached a record of 5.4 million bottles per day thanks to the creation of strategic reserves.
