Since the beginning of 2026, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense has certified and authorized 413 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) systems for use by the Armed Forces. The vast majority of them were developed and manufactured by Ukrainian companies. This was reported by Dengi.ua, citing the ministry’s official press service (available here).

According to the ministry, the number of certified UAVs during this period was more than 30% higher than during the same period in 2025 and exceeded the figure for the same period in 2024 by more than 73%.

Among the new developments that have received official authorization for use are modern high-tech systems that have already demonstrated their effectiveness during combat missions.

The list includes aerial reconnaissance systems of the aerostat, fixed-wing, and copter types; strike drones of the aircraft and copter classes; FPV drones, bomber drones, interceptor drones, relay drones, target drones, fiber-optic-controlled systems, as well as tactical strike and deep-strike systems.

Strike copters and fiber-optic-controlled UAVs accounted for the largest share of the newly codified systems. In addition, the number of front-strike-class strike drones has increased significantly.

Since the beginning of the year, the arsenal of Ukrainian defenders has been expanded with the addition of domestically produced systems such as “Galka,” Skyriper Minotaur, “Gor Elks,” “Beshket,” “Shturm,” “Bababoom,” and “Zorro.” The Ministry of Defense has also added new UAVs including “Blinc,” “Optoslon,” “Chumak,” “Sokil,” “Hydra,” “Kruk,” “Dzyga,” “Kharok,” “Buran,” “Bilyi Vovk,” “Sichen,” and a number of other Ukrainian-made designs.
