The National Bank of Ukraine is easing currency restrictions in order to facilitate the work of small businesses in Ukraine and support Ukrainians abroad in war conditions. This was announced by press service of the regulator, as Dengi.ua .

The NBU noted that at the same time the changes will not have a significant impact on the exchange rate dynamics and the level of international reserves.

So, the National Bank allows postal operators and international transport carriers to carry out from September 18, 2025 cross-border transfers for the payment of customs duties, the ultimate recipients of which are customs / tax authorities of the United States.

This decision was made "taking into account the appeal of postal operators through the suspension of duty-free treatment for goods imported for consumption in the United States and a careful analysis of the potential impact of such a decision on the foreign exchange market".

In addition, clarifying amendments were made on the application of limits for customer transactions outside Ukraine from accounts in hryvnias using personal and corporate electronic payment means.

The clarifications relate to the use of limits depending on the status of an individual - the client of the bank, simultaneously having various accounts in the bank, opened both for business and for their own needs.
