In occupied Crimea, gasoline has disappeared from retail outlets. Due to Ukraine’s successful strikes on Russian logistics routes, fuel trucks were unable to reach Sevastopol. The occupying authorities are asking people not to stand in lines at gas stations. This is reported by Dengi.ua citing Reuters.

Why there is no Gasoline in Occupied Sevastopol

Occupied Crimea has run out of fuel due to Ukraine’s successful attacks on Russia’s logistics routes. Once again, fuel tankers failed to reach Sevastopol.

The so-called “governor of Sevastopol,” Mikhail Razvozhayev, acknowledged that:

  • plans to distribute gasoline via ration cards have been postponed;
  • trucks were unable to deliver fuel to the city;
  • this happened due to Ukraine’s recent strikes on supply routes.

“I appeal to everyone: there is no point in standing in lines at gas stations,” Razvozhayev noted.

They promise to distribute the remaining fuel only to:

  • public transportation;
  • emergency services.

How Gasoline Restrictions were Introduced in Occupied Crimea

Earlier, restrictions on gasoline sales were introduced in occupied Sevastopol.

Previously imposed restrictions:

  • no more than 20 liters per person;
  • vouchers for diesel fuel;
  • Russians claimed there was a “temporary” shortage of A-92 and A-95 gasoline.

How Ukrainian Armed Forces Strikes are Paralyzing Russian Logistics in the South

Fuel sales limits have also begun to be introduced in other occupied regions of Ukraine - specifically, in some areas of the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions. The reason cited is the activity of Ukrainian medium-range drones. They have significantly complicated traffic on the R-280 “Novorossiya” federal highway from the Rostov side.

Russian media report that supply logistics have been partially paralyzed:

  • to the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions;
  • to Crimea.

The reason is the increase in the number of drone strikes on transport infrastructure and freight transport.
