Polish marketplace Allegro is beginning a phased entry into the Ukrainian market. Starting this June, Ukrainian buyers will be able to order goods from Polish sellers with direct delivery to Ukraine. This was reported by the Polish publication Wiadomości Handlowe with reference to its own sources, via Dengi.ua .

According to the publication, several hundred Polish companies will join the project during the initial phase. Access to the platform is scheduled to expand to include more sellers at a later stage.

For everyday shoppers, this marks the arrival of another massive international platform with a wide assortment of goods - ranging from electronics and clothing to cosmetics and household items. Allegro is frequently described as Europe's counterpart to Amazon and a direct competitor to Temu.

The delivery of orders to Ukraine will be handled by Nova Post, the international division of Nova Poshta, which has been aggressively expanding its branch network across Poland.

The subsequent stage of expansion will involve launching a dedicated local domain, Allegro.ua, and onboarding Ukrainian sellers onto the platform. According to preliminary plans, this roll-out is projected to take place in 2027.

As the publication writes, the company confirmed the launch of a new division, Allegro International Ukraine. The marketplace's press service stated that they are recording a steady rise in interest from Ukrainian buyers regarding cross-border e-commerce.

Platform representatives note that the Ukrainian e-commerce market boasts roughly 11.5 million active users, leading the company to view the country as a highly promising arena for further expansion.

Allegro is currently finalizing technical preparations for the launch, hosting webinars for partners, and testing its pilot program.

According to the publication, the Polish site's main competitor in Ukraine will be Rozetka, which remains the dominant player in local e-commerce. Experts believe Allegro's success will ultimately hinge on pricing, logistics efficiency, and product assortment uniqueness.

According to retail market expert Ihor Huhlia, Ukrainian platforms already possess a well-developed network of physical stores and order pickup points, meaning the Polish company will need to invest heavily in marketing and localized service optimization.

Allegro has been operating since 1999 and stands as the largest marketplace in Poland. In recent years, the company has been actively expanding its footprint across Central and Eastern Europe, establishing operations in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, Wiadomości Handlowe reports.
