The Ukrainian company F-Drones has secured its first official license to export its proprietary, combat-ready strike drones to the United States. Following the issuance of the license by Ukraine’s State Export Control Service, the manufacturer shipped 2,000 F10 drones to an American customer under a contract concluded within the framework of the Drone Dominance program. This was reported by Defender Media and cited by Dengi.ua (original source available via this link).
Ukraine has authorized the export of ready-to-use combat drones for the first time
According to F-Drones, Ukraine’s State Export Control Service issued a permit on July 1 to export a batch of F10 strike drones to the United States.
The company noted that the permit has taken effect and the shipment of drones has already crossed the state border.
“The permit is in effect—the drones have already crossed the state border,” said a representative of the manufacturer.
According to F-Drones, this is the first time Ukraine has officially authorized the export of domestically produced, ready-to-use combat drones. Previously, permits had primarily covered technologies, individual components, or parts.
How the Approval Process Unfolded
The company emphasized that it had obtained the export license even before new government decisions took effect, which simplify the export of military-use products under martial law.
To secure the license, the manufacturer completed the full approval process under the existing export control system. The final decision was made by the Interdepartmental Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation and Export Control, with the state-owned company Spetstekhnoexport facilitating the procedure.
How F-Drones Landed a Pentagon Contract
The company secured the contract to supply the drones through its participation in the U.S.
Drone Dominance program. In February 2026, the American company UDD Tech Corp, which represents F-Drones in the U.S. market, participated in Gauntlet I, the first phase of the program. The trials took place at the Fort Benning military base in Georgia.
At the conclusion of the competition, the F10 system ranked sixth among 25 participants, becoming one of 11 winners and securing a contract to supply 2,000 drones to the U.S. Department of Defense. In addition, UDD Tech Corp advanced to the next stage of the Drone Dominance program.
